I run AVG antivirus 7.5 free version and Zone alarm firewall. Both load up at start-up.
I also run periodically Spybot S&D, Adaware, Crapcleaner, and A-squared.

The PC has been on BB internet for 5 years, and despite the best attempts of 2 teenagers with interests in peer to peer file swapping, instant messaging, and online pornography, we haven't succumbed to any nasties the above software couldn't deal with.

And all free!

JORDANB,have you actualy got rid of norton ???
i would advise downloading your new antvirus before you get rid of norton, otherwise you will not have any antivirus protection while you are looking for a replacement, otherwise i agree with others ,avg7.5 free or avast, good luck

Quite click here

Haven't used it myself, but I've heard good reports of Nod32. click here

I certainly echo what acein1 has said. If you're without virus protection right now, get yourself covered urgently.

I've tried different AV software and find AVG to be the best - There is also anti spyware software available from AVG
