I need to replace an Intel D850GB motherboard. Its a P4 1.5Ghz with onboard LAN, IDE, and the most important thing is it needs to take RIMMS. Never bothered with this level of compoent before so thought I'd seek the advice of the wise. Please don't question the RIMMS bit, I know they are expensive but a new mobo is cheaper than a new PC! We've got all the components its just the motherboard that will need to be replaced.
I think you motherboard is a socket 423 & the only place i can see them for sale is hereclick here
Cheers for that, but I'll need a new one as its not a personal purchase. It doesn't matter about cost.
The ones on ebay are new, if you looking for one from somewhere like dabs i doubt you will find it as there are all socket 478 now.
but even if they are new on ebay, I'm unlikely to manage to pursuade our purchasing officer to buy one :)
lol i doubt you will, ok look here thenclick hereDabs have the SuperMicro S423 Intel 850 E/ATX A for £237 click herebefore you purchase any motherboard do check the socket type first.
