REPETATIVE INVALID FILES ON REGISTRY

Operating System - XP
After using a Registry Cleaner my Firefox Browser
works OK on the first occasion only. Thereafter it
has picked up the same 22 Invalid Files on the Registry. They are two Groups of 11
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-19\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\Desktop OR
Favorites OR NetHood OR Personal OR PrintHood OR
Recent OR SendTo OR Start Menu OR Templates OR
Programs OR Startup - The first Group of 11
The second Group is similar except S-1-5-19 becomes
S-1-5-20 .
To solve the problem at the moment I run my Registry Cleaner but this also takes time. Some of you must have a simpler answer as I am obviously need to reset something to avoid the
frustation. TA

Try a System Restore back to before you used the Reg Cleaner.

Just use a well trusted reg cleaner, most that you download just make paper weights out of ur pc's...

CCleaner (slim version, No toolbars) click here(Software)(Version%202.26)/ccsetup226_slim.exe

Take a bit of advise and dont use any reg cleaners,

They do more damage than good,

  Glaschoille 16:45 19 Dec 2009

THANKS to you all but I do not feel that the Registry
Cleaner is necessarily the issue as it seems to
perform its function by taking out the same 22 invalid files, each time. My impression is that I am
doing something wrong when I START FIREFOX or it may
well be my settings. Your advice is still appreciated

"After using a Registry Cleaner my Firefox Browser
works OK on the first occasion only."

But what actually happens the second time?

  Glaschoille 15:49 20 Dec 2009

Thank You DieSse.
On the second or subsequent ocassions Firefox takes a
long time to reach my HomePage - at least 30 seconds
as I have picked up all the above listed 22 invalid
files. So I use my Registry Cleaner which removes all
22 Invalid Files. On the first ocassion thereafter I
attain access in a few seconds.
Please note they all contain the word
"Explorer" - is it fighting Firefox ?

Disable some FF add-ons as these can slow the FF starting up time.
