I have load of saved word documents, but for some reason there are two of each one. One is the normal file, the other is grayed out and the name starts with ~$r i cant open these ones as it says they are corrupt. Why are these here ??

I get those when I have a Word doc open it's normal.

They are Word's ghost files that are created when you have a word docx open and are editing it. The ~$ file should disappear when you close the word docx

for some reason yours are sticking around.
