Repair/Replace damaged MS Outlook contacts folder

  namtas 13:01 31 Jul 2007

Win XP, Office 2003. After importing new contacts from a data base file I found that my contacts folder will no longer sync to a PDA, but it will still sync emails and calender etc. I think that my MS 2003 outlook contacts file is damaged, I have another duplicate copy of my contacts on a laptop. Can anyone advise is it possible to remove the damaged outlook contacts folder and replace it with the one from the laptop, or can it be repaired?

Thanks Rapscallion, I did a search and whilst I can find plenty of information on replacing the data in contacts, I can not find anything to guide me on how or if you can remove and replace the contacts folder.
