Hi, I am trying to do a repair on Win XP Pro using a disk, it goes through the process..adding files etc, reboots, get as far as where the install screen should come up with the cursor, then an error msg pops up saying something about not enough virtual memory to run api (I think).

Then it reboots and goes through the same process.

What can I do here...

Any help would be very appreciated...

Maybe do a chkdsk then try in case of any hd errors. If it's not that try increasing paging:
To increase vertual memory (paging) go to System folder/Advanced/Performance Options/Applications/Change, and increase to at least double ram total (ie ram 512 - paging 1000) per drive.
