Removing programmes from start menu

I am getting a lot of programmes starting up when I boot up and consequently my computer is taking a long while to boot.
How can I remove unwanted programmes from starting up.

Autoruns is excellent,get it here
click here
unzip it and pick autoruns not autorunsc
pick the logon tab and untick what you dont want at start up

Have downloaded Autoruns will see if boot up has improved after removing unwanted programmes
