Every time I access the internet I get a buff coloured message as follows:
Message from to TO on …date ….time STOP! WINDOWS REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. Windows has found 55 critical errors. To fix the errors do the following
1. Download Registry Update from click here 2. Install Registry Update 3. Run Registry Update 4. Reboot your computer.
FAILURE TO ACT NOW MAY LEAD TO SYSTEM FAILURE!"
This message and another one, pop up every couple of minutes or so and this is becoming extremely irritating.
I have endeavoured to remove "Windows Messenger" from my system, and no longer get the icon in the system tray, but this message still persists. Incidentally, I have no intentions of following the message instructions.
Please, can anyone help in removing it for me - I would be eternally gratefull.
