Removing old Sky+ hard drive?

Hey there,

I have a Sky+ box (Pace 2005 model or something?) that is no longer used.

What I'm wanting to do is remove the hard drive and use it as a backup for the iMac. I want to utilise the Firewire port on the Mac...my question is will the firewire on the enclosure be alright with it?

I think it has Firewire 800 but I'm not terribly sure.

Any help would be fantastic.

Thanks very much,

Graham

The hard dive is just a standard ide hdd, generally 5400rpm. As far as I am aware it will fit your enclosure as long as it is for a standard 3.5" drive, and should work with your firewire connection and your imac.
