removing Norton

Just tried to instal AVG free and was advised to remove Norton anti virus because of possible conflict.This was removed some time ago,(or so I thought),is it still hiding in there somewhere.

Thanks for reply but your article asks for model number etc whch I cannot supply as the Norton was on the computer from new as a free trial which I never took up, so I know nothing about it.

Try running ccleaner to clear the registry entries click here

The tool is the same for all versions. Pick any of the versions or just download the tool click here and run it.

can confirm about the removal tool, it works for all versions-i had a similar problem on a newish laptop and it solved all my problems
