Removing icon from desktop

  rabies 14:29 10 Jan 2008

My son-in-law's desktop has a zero byte icon named aaw2007.exe. He downloaded and installed ad-aware then removed the downloaded .exe. He then mistakely went to download it again and stopped it quickly leaving this 0 byte icon. Each time I try to remove it I get the message "Cannot delete - it's being used by another person etc"
I have tried uninstalling Ad-aware and deleting this icon but that doesn't work.
Any ideas?

system restore?

Thanks for the reply Johnny.
I didn't want to do anything so drastic at this stage, he has installed a lot of other programmes since then.
It's not a big problem, it's just annoying!

As far as I know it is for Adaware 2007,Why not try installing it again and then remove it.

Try starting up in safe mode and then delete it from the desktop.
