How do you completely uninstall ATI drivers and catalyst control centre? I have tried using add/remove tools, and the ATI uninstall program, but there are still ATI files in system 32 etc (i use win xp home.)I uninstalled all files before putting the new gfx card in. When i run some programs such as the descx plugin for messenger plus it says i still have a radeon 9700 pro, when i now have a radeon X800. The pc recongnises that i have an x800 however (such as in hardware manager). I dont' really want to have to pay for an uninstalling program, I just wanted to know how i can programs such as descx to recongnise the new card.

Hi, one way would be to do a Search for ati - then delete in the resultant window showing them.

Though I expect others will come up with others ways - ie Registry .......

Cheers.
