If I go to start-run-regedit,HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/software,locate AOL R.click, delete, close out, open HKEY_LOCAL_USER/software,do the same, close out regedit. Will this remove AOL from my hard drive without any problems. I'm trying to free up more space and when I went to start-files&folders and typed in aol I got a list of things.
No removing AOL from the registry will not remove AOL from your computer, just the entries from the registry. If you have uninstalled AOL using add or remove programs you will still be left with some AOL folders on your computer. If you do a search of your hard drive you can delete all remaining folders it finds.
