Removing Adware

I run Ad-aware and Norton Antivirus 2004 - both of which identify adware threats, but can't delete them automatically. In particular there is a threat called "Adware.Broadcastpc" with the path C:\Program Files\btv\btv.exe. Norton advises that I need to go into Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and remove a program called "BPC".

However BPC is not listed within Add/Remove Programs. How can I find and delete it?

Many thanks,
nickr

DD didn't work - selected the option to delete the file at system start up, but returned an error message, then chucked me out :(

Bring up task manager (ctrl+alt+del) highlight BPC and end task.

In windows search files for BPC and delete + delete the folder C:\Program Files\btv
Clean the registry
Registry cleaners :-
Regseeker click here
TweakNow RegCleaner 1.3.2 click here
Easycleaner click here ( Use with care, It advises you to back up the registry first, this is a good idea as it cleans rather aggressively. )
