remove quicktime icon in system tray

  march 16:58 23 Aug 2005

Running win98 & quicktime player icon has installed itself into the system tray, I have unchecked it under start up & msconfig but it just put itself back so now I have two in there one unchecked & one checked. It appears under msconfig as

QuickTime Task “c\windows\system\qttask.exe”-atboottime

I do have quicktime installed but never had this in the system tray until the past few days I wonder if someone could tell me how to disable it from the system tray & not put itself back as it was never there before. Also tried to disable it by opening the program & looking under the preference tab but can find no joy there.

To find out what version you have.... Open the QuickTime player and click on Help followed by About QuickTime Player (it's shown under the blue Q)
