Remove progamme

  peper1 20:42 21 Feb 2006

I loaded a serious sam demo from a previous PC Advisor disc on to my computer. I have tried to remove it on the add or remove option from the control panel and it wouldn’t let me. Any ideas?

What message do you receive when you try to remove it?

install it again and then remove it

alternatively do a system restore til before you installed it. Then delete any files belonging to it.

When I try to remove it I get could not open file!($c:/programfiles/serioussam2Demo/installation.dat)

Perhaps that file is missing or corrupt; in which case, it's an easy job to copy it into that location by browsing the PCA cover CD.

Then have another go, and it might remove okay.

try Start> search> all files and folders. Type in Serious Sam , using correct caps, spaces, etc. Click "Find now". Delete everything it finds EXCEPT that it may find letters that you've written to you cousin Sam, and similar variations on the two words! But you'll recognise those easily enough. Delete everything it finds relevan to that game.
