Remove internal Modem

  tele52 10:06 24 Feb 2007

I currently use a Speedtouch broadband USB modem on my desktop.
My question is can I remove the internal PCi modem without any probs, thereis nothing plugged into it, as I need to free up a slot if I can
A basic question I know but I would rather ask first.
Many thanks

No problem; remove it via the device manager, shut down, take it out and start up again.

Put it away in a box, next year take it out, look at it and offer it on freecycle as an item :)

as an item of historical interest :)

I just removed mine when I transferred to Broad Band. I can't remember removing any Drivers or anything like that.

No problems followed except that I could no longer use the "Direct Dial" facility in Outlook. I should have thought of that!
