Removal of OS choice from dual boot

I have removed Windows XP from my dual boot system and I am now operating on Win98 SE. However, when I boot up the window with the choice of the two systems still appears and unfortunately Win XP is in the default position giving me only about 1 sec to choose Win98. I would like to remove this window so that the system automatically boots up to Win 98.
Suggestions welcome.

Would it have something to do with the file boot.ini? You'll find it on your C drive and I think you can edit it, or even delete it (remember to either back it up or only rename it in case something goes wrong).

Many thanks QuickHare. It did the trick.
