removable drives

have just installed removable drive using maplins usb adapter.. a slow procedure but it works. Now hovever I must decide whether to.... "Disable write behind caching" {what ever that is?!] have searched for clues as to why to do it or not BUT nothing emerges. What should persuade me one way or the other please?

Hi Stan. It looks like a good thing to have unless you are in a system critical application where loss of data in event of a system failure would be disastrous. click here
