Remote assistance on dial-up

I have Broadband, my brother-in-law has dial-up. Would Remote Assistance be feasible using Windows Messenger?

Probably not...

Remote assistance used to use up most of my old 1MB connection, so can you imagine how dial-up would cope?

If you really need to try it, get the person on Dial-Up to change the screen resolution to the lowest as he/she can go (presuming the dial-up connection computer needs the help)

Yes, but quite slow. I've used a program called BeyondRemote for the same purpose to connect to a Windows 98 machine - Remote Assistance
between XP machines is more efficient.

Thanks, I'll try a different tack!
