Reinstall windows to factory setting problem

  Thatslife 17:17 20 Nov 2009

My PC has been very slow and have tried to reinstall windows via Novatechs factory reset option.

The process has taken place however when windows starts, an error message appears informing me that the installation was not complete and to re-start the installation. Windows restarts and the message appears again.

Interestingly, the option to recover windows has dissapeared as an option.

Can anyone help?

I had a similar problem and wiped the drive with killdisk and bought a oem windows disc and installed that, on the plus side you always have the disc for any future instances.

If you have changed any Hardware, that will affect the The Restore

Windows now wont start and is asks for the installation disc to fix vista however, my PC did not come with an installation disc, just recovery options (which no longer appear). I've run windows start up repair and get the following message:

Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically
