nowadays i'm getting an error message stating that regsvr is not found every time the system is booted. what should i do about this?

It sounds as if you may well have a virus or similar malware. Run your AV for a full scan and follow up with Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, a-squared, Spyware Terminator or similar - if you wanted you could (and probably should) run more than one type of scan. Also Windows Malicious Software Scanner may well help you click here as may Windows Defender.

You should also turn off System Restore to get rid of anything lurking there as it could re-infect your PC.
