regscrubvistaXP/ event viewer/ task scheduler.

Just a warning. I've used this reg cleaner successfully on XP but have had to bin it with Windows 7. (Not checked Vista yet).
Trying to run Event Viewer or Task Scheduler on W7 brought up the error- "MMC could not create the snap-in". (Microsoft Management Console). Only version 3.5 of .Net installed so didn't think it was a dot Net problem. Searched for a while but all pointed to .Net.
So I decides to go back to basics and restored the registry from Regscrub and now Event Viewer and T. S. work ok.
Uninstalled RegscrubVistaXP and will just stick to Ccleaner's mild one with backups.

The reg cleaner runs well on Vista. Not compatible with W7.

Thanks for the reply. Still have the key for Winaso (paid for version) so you're tempting me to install again on W7.
Might just do that.... ;)

if you have a hp printer, deselect the hp reg keys in winaso.

Had a look again at Winaso and decided to pass. Thanks anyway.
