Registry cleaning is over-rated, some leftovers are inevitable but rarely detrimental to the operation of a PC. As long as you make a backup before using any cleaner you ought to be OK though.

I use (have done for some time) Wise Registry Cleaner (free version) - and BTW their Disk Cleaner is excellent too.

Always backup your registry before making any changes - Wise will do this, and also keeps a log of changes, so that they can be reversed if necessary.

I'm sure no registry cleaner will fix ALL bad and/or unnecessary entries - but as is said above, a general tidy up is what you should expect, and will get. A reasonably tidy registry is plenty good enough.

when i have ran a registry fix its showing that i have lot of issues with activeX? is there a way correcting these?

the performance gain v risk is not really worth using more than one reg cleaner,i've always just used ccleaner and what that can't clean up i've always left it :o)
