Reducing the size of a video file?

Is there any way to reduce the size of a video file so as to make it quicker to send via email?

Well, you can encode it into a different format like .rmvb. I find those files quite small. But the sammler you go, the more quality in the video you lose.

If you convert the file to WMV this is probably the best way to send video over the Internet. You can use Windows Movie Maker to do this and the person at the other end won't need to download any special software to play it.
