Reducing Noise by turning off case fans

  Ronnie268 20:38 15 Dec 2007

I have recently bought an Eclipse Ultimate

Core 2 Duo E6750

It is identically specced with a previous Compaq I had except it has three case fans, making it really noisy.
Can anyone tell me how to disable the fans, either by software/bios or by unplugging them.

Annoyingly, on startup it does not show a screen saying "press del to enter setup", so I don't know how to do it.

Please help

It wouldn't be advisable to turn off the case fans, thay are there for a reason, cooling. You could replace them with silent fans. Check out OverClockers, they have some very good kit. click here

P.S. I recommend the Xilence fans for a good compromise of noise and airflow.

Does it really need cooling?
