red x`s were pictures should be

when i load in web pages ,i get red x`s were the pictures should be,how can i fix this?

In Internet Explorer, Tools/Internet Options, Advanced tab, scroll down to the "Multimedia" section and make sure "Show pictures" is ticked.

Check a firewall is not stopping images.

If you right click the red x and select properties, then copy the URL address and paste it into internet explorer addressbar and hit go...if the picture is available it should then show up. Why doesn't it load the pics from the start? Heck knows, mine's always playing up and the only fix seems to be re-booting! That 'is' crazy.
