1. Go to this link and download this software: click here

2. Install the software and run it.

3. Select your printer and model number It will ask if you replaced with new pads; say “YES”. Then close the window.

4. Now right click on the SSC service utility, it looks like a printer icon near your clock in the task bar.

5. Then click on reset counters. You can do all other stuff with this utility too.

6. Turn off the printer power and then turn it on again. If necessary un-plug the power cord from the back of the printer, wait 20 seconds. Plug it back in.

Solid red light is usually telling you to load paper

  woodchip 17:44 20 Jun 2008

solved it and glad I did not follow advice to bin it. It was a faulty black cart

Only think to go wrong with Epson carts is that they may not be getting air in to let ink out. A pin repairs this problem

Which part of cart would you use pin

  woodchip 12:58 21 Jun 2008

where you remove the tape at the top, sometimes the holes are not clear hence no air or ink

Thanks will check cart

The Magenta cart from Choice stationary is not working again. They are Think Cart and have no tape. Where is the air hole in these.
