Recycling old monitors

  Andrew-C 15:17 31 Jan 2004

I've got a couple of old CRT moniors that i need to get rid of - is there anywhere that i can send or take them to instead of them just going to a land-fill site.

None of them work but might be able to be repaired.

thanks for your help

Might be worth considering landfill. An evironmental company that I know, will only except monitors and computers etc in working condition, for distribution to third world countries. They do undertake very minor repairs, but cost and time savings are paramount on their type of service.

I have acquired 3 of the blessed things. They all work but I don't want to tip them. Is there anyone in the Birmingham area that could use them?

Phone your local council's Environmental department, they usually have a contact list.
