My Evesham CD has been installed to 4 separate HDDs so far, with no problem.

The confusion probably arises because a 'recovery disk' is not a defined standard, and can vary from something that will only initiate a system restore from a hidden partition on a specific hard drive, to a full version of XP, to a full version with additional 'extras' from the system supplier. Evesham supply full versions of XP, to my knowledge.

I hasten to add that all four HDDs are mine, and were due to experimentation / testing. Only one version of XP was ever 'live', all on the same PC.
