I don't know about CD Creator.
I use Nero, what speed are you writing at?

I only record audio at 8X, which keeps the buffer loaded at around 96%, this gives me the quality I want, and only takes around 10 mins per disk, and avoids producing coasters.

One other point save your audio as a WAV file, burn from this then, if necessary convert to another format to save HDD space, and subsequently delete the WAV file, when you're satisfied with the recorded quality.

Hope this helps, Toxin.

How naff? Too tinny? Distortion? Hissy? ... Poor quality can have several sources:-

Ideally your connection from your tape player to your PC sound card should be a cable from line-out on the player to line-in on the sound card. If your player doesn't have line-out, then headphone socket will do. A damaged cable, poor connections, or incorrect connections can cause distortion.

Then, are you adjusting the recording volume so that the Vdu meter shows it just edging into red occasionally -- i.e. not too low volume and not too high?
