I am looking to record my Degree notes onto my PC in mp3 so that I can listen to them in the car etc as a form of revision. I have a microphone but what software would be best? I know I can record on the microsoft sound recorder but it is limited to how long you can record at a time. Any ideas?

Many thanks

If you have a creative sound card the creative software will do it.

No.....

have a look at the software that came with your soundcard.

The Microsoft sound recorder lasts for one minute only, the first time you use it to record.
If you press the RECORD button again it will double up to two Minutes. By repeating this you can extend the time allowed for recording to whatever length you require.
Hope this helps.

Nearly all sound cards have a MIC in jack, record your notes as .WAV file then compress them as MP3s if your sound card won't record in MP3 format.

I use MPEGSuite. A search on google will probably find it.
