recording family VHS tape back to digitalcamcorder

I can only achieve a black and white transfer back to the camcorder (Panasonic NV-GS200) from my VHS vcr. Any suggestions pse?

what sort of video lead are you using?
Check the connections whilst tranferring and see if colour returns.
Scart leads not properly connected can give this problem.

How are you connected? on my JVC it as AV in out as well as----------others

Using the supplied SVideo plus yellow, white, red cables. (This model of camcorder allows av in/out
though I know another Panasonic one does not...)Strange that I can get mono but not colour, which was the original tape....

It's the S\video that's the problem. If you use a Analog to AV cable that should create colour.

Does that mean removing the Svideo cable altogether then and only using the three red, white and yellow ones?
