Recomended Registry Cleaner for all Windows O's

  Giggle n' Bits 23:58 10 Oct 2004

Simple really looking for a newer Registry cleaner which will run on mainly 98/98SE/ME/XP preferably to fit on a single floppy.

I was using a cleaner made by a italian guy but its seems to be dated thinking about it.

just about all require a fee now or are shareware. Have a looksee for yourself and read the various reviews. TC.

click here works with 98 me xp and i have been using it for a year or so. so far no problems with it on xp. back up your reg though just in case.

ps. it creates a backup itself so you can restore the reg to before you cleaned it even if you dont do a manual back up. look in the regseeker/backup folder and click on the date you cleaned and it will restore to the state the reg was in on that date.

You could try Wincleaner Ultra click here

A rival company to PCA have this on offer as a DVD cover disk. Try telephoning 01789 490215 and quote reference CSDVD408 Wincleaner Ultra. If they have surplus copies, then you will need to pay the pricely sum of £2.50. The DVD cover disk contains stacks of other programmes.

The best and safest free registry cleaner I've found is CCleaner (crap cleaner) from click here

It always gives an option to back up, explain why the item needs deleting etc. and; if you want cleans a lot more.

I took your advice and downloaded ccleaner and found it is the only one that works.
