really basic question about fonts.

i've just had to load up xp again coz i had some kind of nasty, so i'm having to start everything again.

when i go to 'control panel', how can i increase the size of the font a little?
i've gone to 'appearance and themes'-'display'
-'appearance' and changed the fonts to large fonts but nothing happens.

is this the right place to change them?

thank you.

You should find all the settings here.
Right click anywhere on desktop.
Then appearance.
Then advanced.

thanks for your reply. i did what you said and i couldn't see anything to do with the particular font i'm after.
i've managed to increase the size of font on the actual desktop but not the control panel.

If you go where I said and scroll down to the icon menu and increase that by two,the font will increase also.I think.

There is also go as far as appearance then in the third bar down increase the size of the fonts. unfortunately this will increase the size of the fonts everywhere not just control panel.
