Read and Learn

Sometime ago, I read within this forum about someone who questioned a "Bleep" during re-booting their PC and the replies or opinions warned the writer of possible "Video card" problems.

I had an occassional "Bleep" on my PC (WinXP Home) but did not remember what the "PCForum string" advised and anyway I could find the relative string.

Well, I have just had the proof that one should concentrate on the help and advice of this forum. Last week my PC screen became just a grey screen and I could not do anything at all except turn it off by the power button. That signal that the PC was giving me, was an indication of something wrong. It did not corrupt the hard drive and all was backed-up anyway but I was down for a few days whilst the card was replaced (under guarantee).

My advice is now: "Read and Learn". I am now up and running, but!!!!!
