I downloaded SP2 yesterday and then installed. There were no problems with the installation and my system seems to fine(famous last words ;-) ).The thing is, all my restore points have disappeared.Should this've happened?dagwoood.
I installed sp2 today, all my restore points are still there.
Err, downloaded SP2 from where?I've just visited the Windows Update site and wasn't offered it as a download.
Thanks for the reply absent.I've just done a quick search on the Microsoft site and according to the installation guidelines, when SP2 installs it should automatically create a restore point.Apart from not doing that, it's sucked all my other restore points off.I set my restore disk space usage to 2%(650MB)and not the default value of 12%. Wander whether it has anything to do with that?Oh well, my first foible with regards to SP2. I've created a restore point manually and I'll see if that disappears.dagwoood.
Err, downloaded SP2 from where?click here266Mb
Jackcoms, check out Powerless's thread click hereThis is the whole SP2 package and's a download of over 260MB.dagwoood.
Beat me to it ;-)dagwoood.
Just installed it and my Restore Points are still there. Odd...
Fruit Bat /\0/Thanks. Do you have a separate link to the site??Your link only opened a download dialogue box and, wary sort of guy that I am, I want to think/read about it before downloading anything! Is this the final version or just another beta?I thought from previous posts in this forum (including one from the FE) that it was more likely to come in at around 85mb.
Fruit Bat /\0/Sorry.Just read Dagwood's post.Got it now.
