Re install xp pro

Can you tell me the best way to do a clean install with xp pro running
I would like to do it from dos but do not know how to get there.
I know how to use fdisk once I have formatted disk
I have no floppy drive

By the way i have just installed xp pro on a laptop and it keeps freezing on start up anything I can do??

how olds the laptop and sounds like a hardeware problem also 128meg is way to small to run XP Pro you need 256min to running

Been running XP Pro on nearly thirty machines for two years. Most of them have only 128mb and no problems. Depends what you want to do with it.

Ram is a bit minimal but shouldnt stop it booting
it may freeze or slow down and appear to freeze if you trydto do to much at once xp loves ram the more u have the happier it will be,just my opinion.

Check the cooling fan it may be that the heat is causing the freezing problem. Bearing in mind that xp probably makes the chip work harder than 2000
