Re-arrange program list in Start menu

I have XP SP3. I seem to remember when I had Windows 98SE you were able to arrange the list of programms in the Start menu into alphabetical order. But with XP I can not find a way of doing this.

Does anyone know how to please.

Highlight one of the programs in the list and right click, select sort by name from the menu.
