Random computer freeze, maybe wi-fi related?

I recently installed a Belkin WiFi card into my PC. Since the install my computer regulaly freezes up (sometimes with a high frequency audio loop).

It seems to happen more often while im downloading using a bittorrent aplication. I can almost ganantee it will happen when the bittorrent app. is running and i then play a song in Windows Media Player. It also occurs when i hook up my camera to the USB ports.

Cheers

Sounds as if you are overloading it.

Try a memory test or even add memory.

A power issue is more likely. Desktop or laptop?

Sounds like Program files Cross linked

Check Device Manager to see how many Lans is showing, disable those that you do not use

its a desktop

its really weird. im wondering whether there is a conflict between my wifi card and my mobo.

how can i test whether its a "Program files cross linked" problem and what is this?

iv tried disabling most of the services in msconfig. this seemed to work for a while but then it froze again.

mmmmmmmmm.

If you look in Device Manager Lan Is you way or one way of connecting to the Internet, It may be under Networking in device Manager. You can only use one at once. If there is more than one Lane enabled it can confuse windows into checking which to use. To disable right click on one
