RAM Upgrade-Will it make a difference

Running the following spec:

Core 2 Duo T5500
1 GB Ram (currently)
120 GB 5400rpm HDD
128mb Intel GMA 950
Vista Home Premium

Will upgrading the RAM to 1.5GB on this machine make any difference in terms of speed. Used mostly for internet bowsing/live messenger/audacity/ms office 2007/itunes

Or should I just stick with 1GB?

Thanks in advance

You would have been better putting this in the Vista forum I think.
I know Vista is very memory hungry. Under XP you probably wouldn't notice much difference unless you used really memory hungry programs. Under Vista who knows? I think it would give a noticeable difference but I don't know as I only stuck with Vista for a fortnight and have no experience of upgrading the RAM under Vista and the boost in performance, if any.
Hopefully someone else will have done this and will be able to comment on his/her personal experience as to what it does.

Though a gig will run Vista Premium 2 gig is recommended especially if you run the Aero feature.

You should see an improvement adding another 512MB

Vista will also be grabbing some of your system memory to run the graphics , more than is allocated in the bios ( it does this automatically ) so an upgrade to a recommended 2 GB would make a big difference .
