RAM Stick Won't Work

  Big Trev 22:00 28 Apr 2004

I have been given a complementary memory stick (so I can't take it back to the shop!) and I can't get it to work. If I plug it into the USB Hub without the wire the PC prompts me to format the removable disk and then says it is write protected (which it isn't) and if I plug it in in via the USB cable that came with it I am prompted to insert a disk into the drive.

I am running Windows XP and these things should be plug and play.

Anyone know what is wrong?
