Out of curiosity (and laziness) is there a way of finding the size of each stick in a ram slot and if there are any free without opening up the pc?

Hi, I agree with moorie-, you could also run Belarc Advisor from click here this will tell your about your RAM and about everything else in your PC, except your PSU.

Thanks guys. It tells me I have 192mb installed: 1x 256mb in slot 1, and 2 empty slots. I presume the 64mb deficit is taken by the graphics?

Correct, so plenty of room for more RAM if needed.
