RAM Memory upgrade

  loulou1 15:21 09 Oct 2005

I've been given a PC with only 64KB and want to add extra RAM. Been on Crucial's website but they can't establish what sort I need, and I have no manuals. Also - have Win 2000 Prof loaded - is there a max RAM I should get?

Thanks for the advice - I have now got the following info: Motherboard manufacturer Elitegroup Computer Systems, Intel GTL+, Motherboard Name PCChips M715, SDR SDRAM.

Have been given a link to a website but can't seem to match up any of this info with the RAM for sale. Help!

From what I can glean from Google and above the memory is PC100 up to a max of 256MB

Sorry a typo thats 384MB according to the spec

So the memory in your computer is SDRAM which could be PC100 or PC133. Either will work in your computer.
