Yesterday I purchased a 1GB ram to replace 2x 256 strips. No matter which slot I use the PC refuses to boot, usually getting as far as memory test and then starting again. Any ideas which RAM would be suitable? The 1GB ram is labelled 333mhz, 184 pin, pc2700, DDR RAM. AS soon as I replace the old ram the machine is OK.

Many thanks. D

You're possibly using the wrong sort of memory for your pc, especially if when you replace old memory the pc works. go to www. crucial .com and they will do it all for you.
