I have a feeling I have used most of my RAM .
How do I check how much of my capacity is still left
and if I have used much , could it effect the speed of my PC ??

The amount of ram in use is variable and depends on what programs you are running. If you wish to know how much total ram you have fitted use belarc advisor (which you can download), then look at your mobo manual and see if you can fit any more, depending on your processor, it may better to fit ram in pairs to make double threading work, don't fit more than 3GB ram total because Winxp can't (doesn't appear to) use it. go to click here to check for suitable memory chips. Up to the limit more is often better but also depends on the depth of your pocket.

Right click on a blank part of your taskbar (at the bottom of your screen)
Left click on Taskmanager > Performance
and it will show what you are using.

Go to system in control panel it will tell you how much Ram is availiable after any shared is taken out if you have shared graphics.

Random Access Memory is used and then unused, all the time on a moment by moment basis.

Possibly you mean. How much of my Hard Drive have I used?

If this is the case: Left click "My Computer" > Right click "Local Disk" > at the bottom, left click "Properties" and there is a pie chart of your Hard Drive.
