I'm looking at going up from 512MB DDR to 1GB DDR. It appears there are different speeds chips around which I think I understand.

However, what I don't know if why there is Non EEC and EEC RAM avaialble. What does this mean? The Non EEC is a lot cheaper so what's the deal.. is it cheap rubbish?

Can someone enlighten me?

I run a 3.04 P4, 9800pro with 120GB harddrive with a 533FSB board.

If you go to the click here site they have a memory selection program. You input yor Motherboard type and they tell you the correct memory to use and guarantee it will work.

Don't know the difference in types but I got mine from here click here Just put in your spec's and it will tell you what you want. Delivery and price were brilliant.

You can mix but the error correction will not function unless all the same. The choice is yours.
