We need the make and model of the motherboard.
Try Belarc or SIW or Everest click here click here click here
My motherboard for example is an ASUS A8NSLI Deluxe and my previous one was a Gigbyte GA7VAXP so thats the sort of thing you're looking for.

Try downloading CPU-Z, that should get all the information they require. I had the same problem - not knowing what to get - and Crucial's tech help e-mailed it to me. I e-mailed the results back and they told me what I needed. Would recommend Crucial as well, their servce is second to none!

I just put my motherbord into a google search and got my ram details from that. Then I went to Micro-Direct
and bought 1 GB of the cheapest ram and that has worked well for the last 2 years.

hey guys ive ran scans on my pc like pc wizzard and belarc but i dnt know wot im lookin for regarding motherboard. there is nothing that blatantly says motherboard blah blah. can anyone advise me on wot the info may be under?

  dan* 09:52 13 Jul 2007

Use everest as mentioned above. Look under motherboard / motherboard.

  ajbeats 10:05 13 Jul 2007

unfortunately everest requires winrar to extract the files and for some reason when i go to extract it says the archive is either unknown format or damaged. sorry to keep coming back with problems. cheers

Then use SIW as from above.

hardware /motherboard. Copy and paste the information in the response message box.
