is it ok to have 2 ram sticks in a computer that both different speeds.I have 1x 512mb pc2100 and 1x512mb that is pc2800is this ok.thanks
It should be, though the system will operate at the speed of the slowest module.
I think it's usually OK, david889, but you will probably find that the RAM will not operate faster than the speed of the slower stick.
ok so should i change the slower ram 4 the same speed ram as the fast 1
You could, but I don't think you will notice much difference between PC2100 and PC2800.
