I know there is plenty in the threads about this but do not understand all.

I reecently installed a raid 1 set up with 2 x 80 gb disks. Everything seems to be OK but I get this "incomplete raid set up" message on booting.
Is (they) in fact working or not ? How do I check?

Raid card is ATA 150+ RAID
Disks are ATA cache 8Mo Maxtor DMA150
OS XP pro servicxe pack 2

Thank you FGruit Bat. I will study the tutorial.

The problem I have is that the Card, disks, and XP were installed on a new computer by the chap I bought it from.

He says it is all working fine, but I worry about the "incomplete RAID set" message at start up.
Is all working OK or not ? If not I need to know what to tell him !

What motherboard do you have?

Icidently can anybody tell me the difference between ATA and SATA. With my sort of luck it probably means that SATA is newer and faster !!

SATA is faster than ATA. Not much else to say about it except smaller cables...
